Yesterday, I landed in Luxembourg around 16:30 and was greeted at the airport by my beautiful, best friend Anna Justine Leader, an author who happens to have a section of the Luxembourgish national library dedicated to her work--photo above). On our way from the airport to her home in Heisdorf, Anna gave me a brief tour of some monuments. I found the one pictured below particularly intriguing. It shows a list of the four people in Heisdorf who died in World War II: Heinen Gusty, Huberty Alph, Hieronimy Ed, and Turpel Nicol. Isn't this the most incredible list of names?? I can't make this up. But, I can make up a quiz if you would like to know which one you are:

MOSTLY A's: Yeah, bro! You're Heinen Gusty! You're a fratty playboy/girl with a penchant for chugging beer and getting babes/dudes.
MOSTLY'S B's: Felicitations! You're Hieronimy Ed! You're a brilliant scholar (i.e. NERD) with great aspirations for changing the world through sitting on your butt reading
MOSTY C's: Groovy, dude. You're Turpel Nicol. He's rad yo, and so are you. You guys are actually the same person because everyone shares a soul when you're on acid. (Tribute to Ollie, a guy I met at a bar yesterday).
MOSTLY D's: Gold Star! You're Huberty Alph. All you want in life is to, finally, go through puberty so that you can be an "ALPH"a male/female like Heinen. But, in the meantime, don't forget to love yourself for who you are, and don't beat yourself up too badly for watching TV without the parental controls. We know you can do it ;)
After showing me this beautiful monument, Anna took me home to her adorable yellow house (pictured above) with roses surrounding the door and wind chimes hanging above the stairs. After eating a delicious dinner with Anna's brilliant family, we went out to a bar with a few of her friends, who each had a different combination of accents: Ollie had an American accent with British and German flair, Leah had a German accent with American flair, Charley had an accent that was British and Luxembourgish, and Anna spoke in her usual British/American accent.
After some drinks and watching an ambulance struggle to get through the crowds of teenagers partying on the street, Leah drove us home in her new stick-shift. Not having driven a stick shift in four years, Leah threw us around quite a bit before landing us safely at Anna's house where we ate food and went to sleep.
